To embrace the truth of a relationship with Jesus is to embrace the greatest love of all.

Lamentations 5:15-22

The other day I read this passage in Lamentations, and God told me to declare the opposite. Now we are under a new covenant and Jesus makes it so easy to love him and have a relationship with our Heavenly Father where his love compels us to live in his righteousness—resting in his presence and trusting him literally changes us and our circumstances. Anyway, here goes:

From lamentations to rejoicing!

The joy of our hearts has swelled:
Our mourning has turned to dancing.
The crown has been restored to our heads,
Praise the Lord for he has shown himself merciful!
Because of this our heart is strengthened;
Because of the love of God our eyes are made brighter;
Because of the Kingdom of our Lord which is overflowing,
And his people walk about in it.

You, O Lord remain forever;
Your throne from generation to generation.
You have not forgotten us,
Nor forsook us for a moment.
You have turned us back to you, oh Lord,
And we have been restored:
You renewed us in a greater way than before,
For you have not rejected us,
And you are well pleased with us!
